We've always had poop issues (not extreme, but just some from time to time). But ever since we switched to milk, it's gotten a bit worse, so I'm looking for some more fixes! She's not a big juice drinker, but does drink a good amount of water, which the pedi both suggested, but not enough to help apparently (I do try to give her more).
Sometimes she won't poop for like a day and the next day it's kinda hard, and she has some issues with it. A few times lately she has been crying, which is sad, and I want to better help her out to avoid that.
I've been giving her prune purees about every other day, and maybe I will switch to everyday to see if that helps (sometimes it does), and I talked to the doc again today and will try some more fiber-filled foods, if she will eat them. She's been a picky eater lately, and doesn't really like beans either, so that may be tricky!
What do you do?
Re: Constipation issues
I just remembered another thing you can try. Give 1-2 tablespoons of karo corn syrup mixed in his milk. This is an old remedy used in my mother's era (1950's). We also did this for my niece.
DS had severe constipation when we transitioned from BF to WCM. He would cry when taking a poop

We switched to soy milk and it has been 100% improvement. We give him cheese and other dairy products.
