Try this if your child has a fear of public toilets

DD was having a huge fear of public bathrooms, the auto flushers, hand dryers and unexpected noise of someone else flushing totally freaked her out. She would rather have an accident.
2 weeks ago I bought her some cheap earmuffs and I keep them in the diaper bag, she wears them every time we go in a public bathroom and has no more fear. We look a little silly but I don't care!

    That is a cool idea.  I also put post it notes over the sensor on automatic flushing toilets.

    I found a folding potty seat on amazon that we use in public restrooms and if we are at someones house that doesn't have a potty seat.  Works great.

    I'm going to try this...my DD does great at home but public toilets scare her and I believe it's the noise factor.
