When did you stop believing in Santa and why?
I don't remember at all - I don't remember believing or why I stopped. Is that weird?
Did you get an allowance when you were a kid? If so how much? Will you give your kid an allowance? If so, how much? And at what age will it start?
I didn't get one because I was raised by a single mom with 3 jobs so every penny was needed. Not sure what we will do with our boys. I haven't really thought much about it actually.

Glorious nothing! This week has been long and stressful - I need a breather.

Sometimes yes - when he is annoying me. He hates when I hum so when he is pissing me off I do it - and it usually makes us play argue and gets us laughing again.

My San Francisco mug from when H and I went a few years ago - I love it!

Yes, thankfully!

Yes. So he hides stuff in the safe because he knows I cannot for the life of me remember the code to get into it.
If you have a joint account how do you surprise your SO with gifts for holidays, anniversary, bdays, etc.?
We don't so this isn't an issue

When did you stop believing in Santa and why? When I was about 6. My older cousin told me. I wasn't too broken up about it.
Did you get an allowance when you were a kid? If so how much? Will you give your kid an allowance? If so, how much? And at what age will it start? I started getting an allowance of $1/week when I was very young, probably 4 years old. Eventually it went up to $5/week, and then $25/week in high school. I definitely think we'll do allowance for L, but I might make her work harder for it than my parents made me.
What are your plans for the weekend? Tea party at my aunt's house this weekend! It's an annual event, and I'm psyched to bring L for the first time!
Do you do things to purposely annoy your SO and if so what is it? I'm sure I do. Can't think of anything right now. Last night, he spent at least 10 minutes helping me look for a crochet hook (including taking the couch apart), when it was stuck in my hair the whole time. That was completely unintentional, though...

Do you snoop to try and find out what your SO is getting you/has gotten you? No, no need really, DH already gave me my gift. He gets so excited abotu it I get it as soon as he gets it home. This year it was cookware (and I absolutely adore it!!)
If you have a joint account how do you surprise your SO with gifts for holidays, anniversary, bdays, etc.? We have a joint account and private accounts. DH doesn't have much in his private accounts, so I gave him the credit card for mine, and just didn't look at the online statement.

Did you get an allowance when you were a kid? No, but we did chores. It was just part of growing up, we didn't get paid for it. Will you give your kid an allowance? Nope, if she wants money she can get a job! But we will be putting money aside for her in a 529 so I figure college is more important than being able to buy a barbie.
What are your plans for the weekend? DATE NIGHT! My parents are taking Allison tomorrow morning and we are picking her up at church on Sunday. Christmas party, dinner, sexxy time with DH...yay!
Do you do things to purposely annoy your SO and if so what is it? I leave my sweaters/coats/pures all over. Seriously, my keys are NEVER in the same place twice and it makes DH nuts...but I don't mean to do it, I just put them down wherever I happen to be.

If you have a joint account how do you surprise your SO with gifts for holidays, anniversary, bdays, etc.? Credit cards...we each have one and use that for surprise gifts (or when I need to "hide" my spending from him!)

It started when I was in elementary school and was about $5/week, I think. Then in middle school I babysat, so the allowance stopped. And in high school, I had a job.
I think that we will give DD an allowance, similar to what my parents did for me.
What are your plans for the weekend? my cousin's baby shower tomorrow and then nothing on Sunday.
Do you do things to purposely annoy your SO and if so what is it? Since I get up with DD on the weekends, I will be purposely loud once it gets to 9am. Since I haven't slept past 7am since well before DD was born, he doesn't need to sleep either LOL
What is the first thing you see when you look to your right and is it important/significant to you? I see a folder for a case I'm supposed to be working on, but I'm bumping instead. It should be more important to me than it is.

Do you snoop to try and find out what your SO is getting you/has gotten you? No, we always do joint gifts for Christmas. This year, we bought a dishwasher and stove for the new house, and new matching UGG slippers!
If you have a joint account how do you surprise your SO with gifts for holidays, anniversary, bdays, etc.? We don't really do gifts, but when I do want to surprise him, I use money from my small business account, and he uses a credit card.

When did you stop believing in Santa and why? 6 or so. I woke up in the middle of the night and saw Santa and Mrs. Claus playing our new nintendo from the top of the stairs.

no allowance for me. I'm sure she will, just haven't/don't want to think that far ahead.

When did you stop believing in Santa and why? we never "believed" in Santa, always knew he was a fictional character
We did not get an allowance...doing chores was part of "being a family" and tasks that we were not doing as a jor or for payment! However, when we got to be teenagers, and wanting our own makeup, shampoo, stuff like that my mom did give us money each month...and we had to learn how to budget because that's all we were getting. Will I give Ian an allowance? I doubt it. Will I let him 'work' for money, on top of what chores he may be responsible for, probably.
What are your plans for the weekend? squeeze in as much as I can before Christmas...finish shopping, get groceries, wrap presents, go see Santa, desperately need a hair cut, Ian's supposed to be seeing his daddy at some point. Too much!

If you have a joint account how do you surprise your SO with gifts for holidays, anniversary, bdays, etc.? my exH and I had joint accounts. I could buy stuff because he never looked at the account. If I was afraid he was going to, I'd usually use a credit card...knowing that the statement would come after the event, and he'd be less likely to look at that statement that the bank account.

Tomorrow my 3 yr old DS has a birthday party at Magic Castle for a little girl in our playgroup. Then the 2 kids that I babysit for (and their families) are all getting together for a Grinch Party! We are all taking green snack foods (nothing good for us!) and the kids get presents.
