Not even a phone call yet?

So we turned in all of our paper work- home study packet, medicals, clearances, contracts, personal copies of everything, etc, on Friday last week. Monday they cashed our checks and yet we've heard nothing from them. Not a phone call confirming receipt of the paper work and letting us know when they'll be in touch with the next steps, no e-mail, nothing.

 Is this normal? I'm so excited and it's getting really hard for me to not grab the phone and call.  I feel like I'm in 2 week wait. I know that things get busy towards the holidays but.. I'm soooo impatient.

 TIA for any advice/support.

    I would just call to confirm they got your paperwork and ask next steps.

    I agree with the PP.  Not that you did this, but I originally sent our paperwork to the wrong address (they had changed their mailing address but hadn't updated some of the paperwork).  So I asked them to let me know when they received it after I sent it to the correct place.  They got it Monday and we received a call Wednesday scheduling our first home study interview.

    So I e-mailed to confirm they had received paper work (I had mailed it with a delivery confirmation). She responded with the name of the case worker we've been assigned- Amy.

    Amy, you don't know this yet but you are my new best friend! I hope you call next week so that we can celebrate by sharing the news with our families for New Years. (we haven't told anyone other then my in-laws yet).
