Have any of your LO's dropped to 1 nap?

I am just curious.  DD has days where she will take a very short morning nap or none at all if she has slept late in the morning.  But I feel like it is still early for this.  Any of your LO's on 1 nap per day? What time does it usually happen and for how long? DD gets so cranky and tired after being up for a few hours that I can't imagine her only taking 1 nap.  DS is 4 and still taking a 2.5-3.5 hour nap in the middle of the day on weekends.  It would be amazing to have them napping at the same time.

  • Lo naps once a day or a short morning nap and long afternoon or two equal naps. It depends on our schedule. E still naps some days, I love when they overlap!

  • We're down to one nap.  But I think it's because of daycare and their schedule. When she's home with us, sometimes, she will take 2 naps.  But most times it's one.
  • Levi has been a one nap man since he was 9 months old.

He naps from 11-2 or 12-3 every day,

  • DS seemed to go to 1 nap right before his birthday.  He will usually go down for a nap now anywhere from 10:30-12 and he will sleep for an hour and a half- up to 3 hours.

My DS too. He dropped that 2nd nap ages ago. Both my kids nap from 12:30-3 (DD later most days).

This is J too. At DC he naps from 12 -2 but on weekends he will nap from about 10-11 or so and then again at 3-4 sometimes.

Yes.  Us too.  He was napping around 12:30 to 2ish.  This past week he hasn't gone down until 2 and he's napping until 4:15-4:30ish.

  • At daycare he does 1 nap from 12:30 to 2:30. At home he has 1 to 2 naps depending on our schedule, how he slept at night.

  • Thank you for the responses.  Looks like it isn't too early for 1 nap after all!

  • When she is cranky, she goes down. Sometimes once a day, sometimes twice a day. It also depends on how the night went. But usually she walks into her room and grabs her binky and lovey, and it's the first sign she is getting tired before she gets crabby.

  • DD gets up at 6:30 or 7am, naps from 12:30 to 3ish, and goes to bed at 7 or a little later.

  • DD dropped to 1 nap a few weeks ago. She was just fighting her second nap so much that I decided to try just 1 nap. It was a learning process and her nap was 20-30 minutes for a couple of days, but it did gradually get longer.

She wakes for the day around 6am, goes down for her nap around noon for an hour, and bedtime is 7:00-7:30.

Her nap time varies when she is at DC, sometimes it is as early as 11, sometimes as late at 1:40 (she is waayyy overtired by then). She can take anywhere from 30 minutes (when she is overtired) to 2 hours (rarely).

At home, I try to put her down closer to 11-11:30 and she typically sleeps 1.5-2hours.

Yep. This. DD sleeps from 12:30ish for a couple of hours. If she has a crappy night sleep the night before, this sometimes gets bumped up to 11ish followed by a late lunch.

  • DD switched to one nap about a month ago. It stunk and I fought it for a while. Finally one day I just put her down accordingto her cues rather than our two nap schedule and she took a two hour nap and didn't want a second one. It gave me the sads, but it's clearly what she was ready for. She also started sleeping a little more at night when she switched to one nap.

  • When G is at daycare, she only sleeps once a day (probably due to thinking she is like the big kids). At home, though, she tends to still take 2 naps.

  • Yup - been on one nap since he was about 9 months old.

Wakes at about 10:30 and has his nap at about 14:30-15:00 till 16:30-17:00.

    Bed time at about 22:30.

I?m a SAHM so his wake, nap & bed times suit me fine. He also gets to spend time with his daddy after work which they both love.
