I know I don't post very often over here, but I do lurk here and on FB, and occasionally chime in. Just wanted to share my good news. Due to my age (I'll be 40 in early March), and due to the fact that we require IVF, we pretty much had no choice but to be one and done, or get right back on the IVF horse again.
We just completed our first new IVF cyle, and got the first beta back yesterday, which was 119! I had some light bleeding and spotting leading up to beta, but my RE isn't concerned now that we have the numbers, and I think it was related to picking up/carrying DD the past week when I really shouldn't have, because I stopped that yesterday and (FX), it seems to have stopped.
Beta #2 is tomorrow, and we're hoping for good things, as well as a singleton. We're a little nervous, because this beta is more than double the first one for DD (put back 3 embies each time). Out of curiosity, does anyone here with 2+ singletons remember how close their first betas were? I know my level can mean anything at this point, but just curious.

That's kind of what I figured. I'm kind of planning to write off having much of a social life for the first year, LOL. I'm very hopeful that after that, things will start getting easier. Luckily, DD has been an incredibly easy baby so far, so even if #2 doesn't follow suit, I'm hopeful DD will continue to be easy, so it won't be quite as tough. I'm just glad they'll be close in age. My sister and I were supposed to be about 2 years apart, but it took a while to get me here (pre-IVF days for sure), so we are almost 5 years apart.
If you have any pointers, I'll be happy to hear them!
