What are you giving your nanny for the holidays? I definitely want to write her a nice thank you note so she knows we appreciate her and give her something that I know I would love like a manicure and pedicure, but don't know if that's considered "enough." Is it customary to give nannies a holiday bonus? How much?

We did 1 weeks pay and I got her a small Coach bag that I knew she would like.

DD goes to an in home day care and we have done gift cards or cash equivalent to one weeks pay.

I think the custom suggests one weeks' pay, but we cannot afford that, so we are giving her a $100 bonus.

I pay my nanny $500 per week and I'm doing $100 plus some nice skincare products as the gift.
