Fever/sick last night, nothing this morning

I kept DD home from daycare today because 1. policy is they have to be fever free for 24h and 2. I was nervous she got hand foot and mouth because it's been going around lately. When we got up this morning I figured maybe the motrin was still working because she had no fever at all and was acting normal. I figured her symptoms would come back around at some point. It's almost lunch time and we are having a normal day (except...its a work day for me) and now I feel a little guilty about taking a sick day from work for no apparant reason. I also don't know what this little 6hour fever could have been from. any ideas?

maybe teething... also my son has stomach issues once in a while and runs a slight fever for a few hours and hes fine. We both woke up one morning with the stomach flu and it had me down for 2 days but he had a fever and threw up once and was fine that day. Its amazing how they recuperate so quickly. I think if it was hand foot mouth she wouldnt be eating drinking etc. If she still seems fine Id chalk it up to just one of those things. Definately wouldnt feel guilty though. At the time you took the sick day you thought she was sick

my son has weird fevers he only gets them in the evening and is 100% fine in the morning. Even with the fever he is his normal self.

It could very well be from teething

A couple weeks ago LO had a fever (super high) from after nap, so 3ish, until about 11pm. No other symptoms. 2 days letter he started with bad cold symptoms..which ended up being RSV. A friend at work said her daughter did something similar and 2 days later had croup.

How high of a fever? If is was low grade it's hard to say. If it was higher I wouldn't be surpirsed if it came back in the evening. Toddlers and babies can get fevers with viral infections. Maybe your LO is brewing something? My pedi said teething dosn't cause a fever but I know lots of people swear it does.
