contractions?

Hi ladies.
Question all night tonight I have been having a burning sensation and full feeling in the front of my pelvis down by my vaginal area. As well as my stomache gets hard and then it gets tingly down there. Its not very painful just bothersome. Are these contractions? First baby so I'm not sure what to really expect.. at the doctors on Tuesday I was dilated to a 2 and 80 effaced.

    could be. I'd just keep note of their frequency. Rest a bit, drink a lot of water and see what happens.

    Sounds like BH contractions. I analyzed every pain with my first pregnancy, and always heard "you'll know when they're real" and it's true. Actual labor pains are usually different from anything else, and you will know, maybe not right away, but you will when they don't let up and intensify.

    Sounds like BH to me too.  They could stop, or get worse and more regular.  I've been having major BH for 3 weeks, but they refuse to get more serious, and they always stop when I go to bed, so I know it's not the real thing.  At least it's assuring that you're body's doing some prep work!
