Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Still refusing solids

My daughter will be 7 months next week. Since 5 months I have attempted solids 2-3x's a day. She has only eaten the purees maybe a total of 6-10 times in this 2 month period. I have tried every food, every trick and when she is hungry, right after a bottle etc.  She has no interest putting anything in her mouth including toys, puffs, bread anything! I am going to address this with the pediatrician but just wanted some advice. Thanks!

Re: Still refusing solids

  • The poster above me said it beautifully. I wouldn't worry. Most likely she is just not ready yet.

  • My LO is this way with food only. He'll put everything an anything in his mouth except food. We're doing BLW. I'm just trying not to stress about it since he's still growing and thriving and doing well on just BM. I figure I don't want food to become a battle and he'll want to eat sooner or later.
