My coworker currently has sitting in her purse a piece of paper in an envelope stating "boy" or "girl." I have NO CLUE how this is not killing her, as it's killing me! Anyway she and her DH have 3 other children. She was asking me if I knew any cool ideas for them to all (Mom, Dad, and kids) learn the gender together. I told her I'd heard about a cake (like take the card to a bakery and have them put pink or blue inside the cake), or going to a store and picking out a boy outfit and a girl outfit and having the cashier ring it up for whatever gender (but I don't know how that works with paying...?) or going to Home Depot and choosing a boy paint and a girl paint color and having them mix the right one (won't work as baby won't have its own room). Any other ideas I can toss her way?

A friend went to the toy store, got a blue and a pink stuffed animal and had the cashier ring up the right one and put it in a box (that she brought with her) with the receipt. She then brought it home for her and her H to open. It was the baby's first 'thing' that they had for her and a forever keepsake of when they found out. She could also have you do something like that for her
A friend that just had their fifth baby did the balloon in box and their kids loved it! They had a photographer to capture their expressions when the balloons popped out

Re: Gender reveal ideas?
How about cake pops?
I haven't done them yet (wish someone would order them locally...I don't ship).
Anyway, something like this is cute!
