So ds has been exposed to his potty for a few months. He has said many words and showed great interest in sitting in it. I was planning on having a potty training plan until after speaking with his ped next month hen he is two to see what approach would work best for him and myself.
Yesterday he sat on it prior to his bath n made pee. We made a huge deal. Well tidy he said potty n I felt n he was dry. I didn't take it serious n then within that minute I could tell he was trying to go so I made it a big deal n we went up to the potty. Well he popped within a minute. I gave him n m and m and made a big deal again.
sounds like he is ready? Should I still wait till Jan? An advice would be great thanks
Re: Potty progress now what?
I don't really get how people potty train using pull ups or any other way than just going for undies or bare bottom. DD 1st pooped on the potty last Christmas, she was 1 year 9 months, she'd pee when we put her on, so we thought she was ready. Day 1 and 2 went ok, but after about 5 accidents on day 3, including right after she'd gone potty, we gave up. She started ripping off her diapers after DS came, so she was 2 years 2 months, we tried again, and she got it right away.
I'd give it a shot, but your DS is still very young, if it doesn't work out, wait a few months and try again.
