aw, I missed it! The commercial showed him berating a mother for BF'ing her 4 year old... I just kept thinking - that's NOTHING! I know women who have gone far past that age.
I just read the summary that was linked, and honestly, what bugs me the most about this is that attachment parenting was thrown in with crazy grandma who breaks into homes and scales fences and crazy dad who berated his son and put it up on youtube for the world to see. Is there a comparison here? Really??
Without having watched it, it really sounds like people who disagree with AP don't understand what it is.
I didnt watch it, im pretty AP and I honestly didnt want to let it upset me and raisemy blood pressure. I don't need approval of anyone. I parent how I feel is best for my children and I. If others think its weird, they do not have to practice AP!
Gah! Kinda pisses me off watching it. Just hearing the words "psychological abuse" made my stomach turn!
That was SO offensive when that psychologist said that. Kudos to the AP mom on stage who kept her cool. The psychologist lost all credibility to me when she incredulously asked why the mom would want to wear her baby in a Moby. Makes my blood boil just thinking about it.
I just want to point out that they make it like breast feeding is about the mom I don't understand why people say that...the pol doesn't even have the opting to vote "a mom should stop breasfeeding when baby's ready" just "when mom feels its time"

Here's a summary of the show.

It annoys me to no end when people decry overzealous helicopter parenting and smothering while calling it attachment parenting.
