I saw this story, but I didn't even notice the baby's name! It's certainly....creative. They are dooming their child with a lifetime of being asked how that is spelled/pronounced. Being some one who is named Savanna, but not "Savannah", I know.
I guess I'm more for the traditional names. William Emerson is what we have chosen and I don't think it gets more straightforward. haha.

I know that Skye isn't traditional, but that child is going to go through life w/people calling him Krypton, Kryptonite, no one is going to get that name right.
I thought Klayton took the cake for odd names, but I now give you..... Kiptyn
I'm a bit confused... Are you thrown by the spelling of Klayton or the name itself... Because "Clayton" is actually a very old/traditional name! I'll give you that Kiptyn is odd... and odd spelling, too... but I've definitely heard worse! At least I know how to pronounce that one from looking at it!

The spelling of Klayton, I like the name Clayton itself. And I didn't say Kiptyn it was a BAD name, it just said it's an ODD name, it took me reading it three times to see it was Kiptyn, I first thought it was "Krypton". That child is going to have an lifetime of people calling him the wrong name, which trust me is not amusing after hearing it wrong 9million time and having to correct it.

Gotcha! Yeah--- I don't know why everybody loves to use the "y's" these days... If you like the sound of Kiptyn, then why not just go with "Kipton" so people aren't perplexed by it... I also think people would be LESS likely to come up with the Krypton reference if there was no "y." At least it's not Kypton, right? Because then I would read it Krypton every single time!
My sister's name is Kristyn with a Y.... Normal name, less traditional spelling. She really doesn't love it bc she's always getting things spelled either with an I or an E. I wouldn't do it...
