Teething = ?

How are you ladies dealing with teething? How is your LO taking it?

My little guy cut his first tooth 2 weeks ago and is now cutting his second. He is up every 1.5-2hrs and cannot fall back asleep unless he is right next to me in bed. I am afraid that he will never go back to normal/decent (wake only 1-2x/night and in his crib) sleep pattern. We have tried Ibuprofen, orajel natural tabs, frozen washclothes - poor kiddo, nothing seems to help him at night. During the day he is so distracted it doesn't seem to bother him much.

  • My son loves the gnon by vulli. It's the same company that makes sofie the giraffe. When he teethes he likes to nurse. We are on tooth number 6, and I just don't want to be his teether anymore. If he is only nursing for comfort he will take the toy instead.

  • I don't know how much help this is but I'll share my experience.  DS started teething  a month ago and now has two part of the way in on the bottom and I think one coming in up top although its hard to see!  He gets really upset out of no where when they hurt and its almost impossible to calm him down.  I order this homeopathic medicine off amazon (It starts with  a "c"... I cannot remember the name right now) and have used it once and it seemed to work well.

    As far as sleeping, he has never slept more than 3/4 hours at a time we co-sleep so I'm no help there.

    is it Camamilla? We use that for Elodie and it works great. She is on tooth number 2 and we have had no sleep disturbances.

  • DS has his first two teeth already. Both came in at the same time. We used teething tablets(Hylands's) and Tylenol when it was really bad. Both helped him sleep at night.
