  Youneek names are really popular where I am from. I am from Idaho, but it is close enough to Utah that the terrible names bleed over.

  I get where it's coming from on the extreme names.....but ds2's name is Jayden. The white trash comment pisses me off. I named him that 2 years before it came really popular. But how is his name any different than the Jessica/jennifer's of my generation. What makes jayden white trash??

   I think the comment was stemming from the way it was spelled, not the name itself. In the article it was spelled Jaydien, which to me should be pronounced "Jay-dee-ann".  

  Jayden is a good name and that is the correct way to spell it. It was mocking the fact that they take a popular name and butcher the spelling to make it different. At least that is how I took it, I like the name

  I thought maybe thats where the article was going but on the baby names board they slaughter the aiden/ayden names. So I figured they were taking it there. Thanks for your perspective though.

  Eh, the baby names board is a little too over the top when calling out names. They would side eye my DD's name because it is traditionally a boy's name. ::shrugs::
