June 2013 Moms

Was that what I think it was?

I just felt several small pops/flutters above my pubic nine, but below my belly button. Isn't it too soon to feel LO?

Put happened when I was leaning forward and had my bump compressed a bit..... Hmmm.

Re: Was that what I think it was?

  • I felt DD at 16w and that was way early.

BUT today I had a moment, too. I was sitting on the floor at a playdate and there was a sudden popping sensation, like a bunch of bubbles popping underwater at once, then a sort of nudge. Then nothing. It was very familiar, but I'm hesitant to think it was baby at 13w. I'm going to wait and see if I feel anything over the next couple days before I jump to conclusions. When I felt DD, I knew it was her because I felt the same thing daily after that first early tapping.

  • I swear I can feel something too. Felt it a few days ago...once or twice... then yesterday and today also.... it's usually if I'm sitting or lying quietly...happened today also when I drank some very cold juice. It doesn't feel like anything I've felt before. Feels kinda like tiny bubbles or fluttery but barely anything at all and it is where baby would be right now. This is my 1st so I think it's way too early to feel anything but I wonder if it's because I'm so underweight at the moment.

  • I am pretty convinced I'm feeling the baby. I've felt the same "popcorn" feelings way way low and off to the side, just like I did with DD. I felt DD at 16 weeks, so I guess it isn't too far fetched to feel it at 14 weeks with my 2nd.

  • I swore I felt something at 14 weeks, like a little fish and some tiny taps. My dr said no way, but what does she know?! I'm sticking with it was. How exciting!

    Indifferent

This whole time I thought "You'd be stupid not to know when you feel something move in your body!" But...That was before I knew this could happen. I felt "popcorn" feelings like...2 or 3 nights ago. My thought was "that's weird, who knew you could have gas bubbles in such a weird spot."

Maybe it was the baby!!! eeek! though... i haven't felt it happen since then and since it's so soon, I think I'll stick with the 'its gas'...so i don't get even more impatient waiting on feeling it =D

This happened to me today too and I feel the same way about it. It felt so familiar but it's just so so early...

  • I felt DD at exactly 15w and I felt flutters with this one for the first time last Friday, at 13w2d. It was the exact same feeling both times. For me it actually feels a little like a muscle twitching.

I have totally felt a muscle twitch type feeling at least twice in the last week. It was seriously just like when my eye does that weird twitch thing, but it was only 3 or 4 times. I didn't think it was baby because I don't remember the first movement of DD feeling like that, but maybe?

I also never felt anything that I would call flutters. Always popping/tapping in the early days. Weird.

  • I swear over the last few days I've felt rolling sensations and tapping. The tapping I wasn't completely convinced was the baby, but when I felt the rolling sensations off and on each day, it really made me think it was the baby I was feeling. Maybe I'm crazy.

I especially wasn't sure because I was told I had an anterior, low-lying placenta and from what I've read, having an anterior placenta means it will take longer to feel baby. But, since it is anterior and low-lying, maybe it's too low to really obstruct the movement. Confused Gonna pay close attention to see if I keep feeling the "movements" and then ask about them at my next appt on the 27th.

I have never heard it described as being this feeling so I may just be a weirdo, but it is the EXACT same sensation I felt with DD. I have not felt the same thing before or since. It's definitely not a muscle twitch--it's not that strong or forceful of a feeling--but it's really similar to what you feel in your eye.

I had actually totally forgotten about the twitchy sensation until I felt it a few nights ago and it suddenly came rushing back that that's how DD felt in the early days. I bet it's the same thing for you, especially given that you felt your DD early too.

  • I can't wait to feel baby. I know right now all I can feel is gas!
  • I know I felt baby kick early monday morning.  I haven't told many people about it because it is so early.  Even still if someone told me it was too early, I'd blow them off because there was no question about it, baby kicked me.
