Update plus same luck as Penny!

Update to emergency room post: Doctor appointment we found the heartbeat and was strong.

More craziness: Monday part of my front tooth came off.  I am so over DC traffic trying to get Iz dropped off so I could get it fixed this morning. Made it an hour late, but its fixed.

I was super dizzy last night and couldn't do anything.  Doc said today I need to drink more water.

Sore throat that started Saturday probably just part of a cold.

Down Syndrome blood test screening came back.  We have a 1:175 chance of baby having it.  Geneticist will be calling me soon to try to get me in sooner for the extra ultrasound.

Emergency room just called from results from urine sample, I have a yeast infection.

Between falling down the stairs and all this...maybe I have the same luck as Penny!!

  • Oh no! I am glad the baby is doing well. Get some rest, drink some water and just relax.

  • I'm glad the baby is well but you need a break, lady.Thinking of you.
  • Thanks ladies!  Just got off the phone with the geneticist.  I have a 1:160 chance...I always mess up numbers.  I will have all the extra screening this Friday afternoon. My personality is I want to know everything, so super glad to have more info and more looks at baby!!

On a positive note 8 more days and Iz and I will be with family in Minnesota!!  We are so frickin excited!!!

  • Im sorry your having a rough time. I'm glad everything looks ok after the fall you had the other day! Also, I had a 1:150 chance for downs after my quad screening with DS. I even did the amnio, and it was negative for downs, but positive for some other genetic issues. Its a long complicated story but, after close monitoring and tons of testing it turned out to be a false positive. DS is as normal and healthy as can be. I agree with finding out as much as you can, but try not to worry too much. The odd are highly in your favor that everything is fine. And those tests are notorious for false positives.
