Ornament exchange ethics

I'm in an ornament exchange at work and we have a $10 limit. They said to try to get the most for your $10 and if you found one for less than that, then maybe get another one to go with it. I went to Macy's at lunch and found a really pretty one for $11. However, it rang up at $3.95 (woo-hoo)! Would you get another one or just give that one? TB isn't letting me make a poll for some reason!

PS- for the record, I didn't try to cheapskate my Elfster-- just my co-worker

Yeah I agree with this. A $5 starbucks gift card would be an awesome addition to your gift.

I would absolutely get something else, and come as close to the $10 limit as possible. I would feel pretty crummy about it if I didn't. Like crystal said throw in a gift card, or maybe some candies or something.
