I am finding this year to be so much fun. Last year (and this year) we let A pick out our tree, although I know she didn't really get it last year it was fun to watch her walk around and settle on a tree, she did the same thing this year, she didn't say a thing until she found the one and then a finger point and "that one" and we are sold.
We went to see a house that does a light and music show she which she loved and we made cut out sugar cookies together, she liked playing with the dough more than decorating the finished product. (pic below)
I am just really getting why people say the holidays are that much more fun with little ones around, who's with me and who is meh, maybe next year?

Re: How in to "the season" are your Dec 10 kiddos?
Cute pictures! I have some of my own to add
Miles loves the Christmas tree, even after it being up for several weeks. He can't stand when we turn off the lights on the tree, and it's the first thing he takes care of when we get home. He's madly in love with Santa, and I can't wait to see if he understands that it was Santa who left him gifts! I'm anxious to set out cookies and milk the night before, too, to see if he "gets it." We also did the cut-out cookies (see below). Sooo much fun!
That is so sweet that he loves Santa. Ainsley likes him from a distance, that is about it. I love that he turns on the tree lights when he gets home, so cute.
p.s. I am picking tips up from your pic, flour in a deep pan not on a cutting board...I am sure your table was way cleaner than my counter and floors!
J is enjoying many parts of the season...
He "helped" untangle the garland for the tree. He hung two or three ornaments. He is completely and totally fascinated by the tree and very into pointing out the ornaments (especially the football, his Cookie Monster ornament from Sesame Place we got this summer, and the cats and snowmen). The presents are now under the tree and he's enjoying stacking them, restacking them, and then stacking them yet another way. We've had him watch all the classic Christmas specials and he's been pretty good about watching pretty intently and every commercial break we get a "come back". We took him to Christmas at the Zoo and was very into the lights. We tried cutting cookies, he was more interested in using the cutter to pull the dough apart. He did "paint" a few cookies with the milk/powdered sugar to get the sprinkles to stick. We did Elf on a Shelf this year, he named his elf Joe and has enjoyed searching for him every day. He met Santa and did OK... lasted a while before he started to meltdown a bit.
I haven't had time to Christmas stuff yet. It sucks. We have our tree up, but not decorated. I feel like I'm ruining hazels Christmas because we've so busy with other commitments. She doesnt even have a clue that its the christmas season. After thanksgiving we had stuff to do every weekend; a wedding, the high school play that I directed, now the dance recital and hazels bday party are coming up. I'll be lucky if we do anything Christmas related at this point.
This post makes me sad
B couldn't care less about Christmas and has no idea...people at work ask me all the time "Is he excited about becoming a big brother? Is he excited about Christmas?" And I'm like "ummm no he's not even 2" but I guess he "should" be more into it. I know a good chunk of it (all of it?) is his autism and his lack of understanding, communication, etc. But it's very frustrating.
I did this whole "25 Books of Christmas" thing where I bought 25 xmas books and wrapped them up so he could open one each day in December until Christmas (and we plan on doing the same thing year after year so he'll have some favorites) and he could CARE LESS. We're not even going to open the rest of the books and just save on the wrapping for next year when he'll understand it better.

The pics are so cute!! We made Christmas cookies the other night but they were in the oven when we had to stop and run C to the ER so those were ruined! (Thankfully I remembered to turn the oven off.) We'll re-do this weekend though.
He loves Christmas this year! He had so much fun putting up the ornaments and loves to turn our big tree and his little tree on each evening. Everywhere we drive to he likes to point out "Christmas" which means lights that are on. I love seeing it through his eyes.
We are pretty into the holidays, that includes DD.
We have a lot of get togethers and parties, she loves seeing Santa, she too helped pick out our tree, and we baked cookies this past weekend.
I haven't included her as much with the decorating yet, although the tree is on the agenda.
I usually try and do it when she goes to bed and then love her face when she comes down to see everything changed and full of holiday spirit.
I told her the elves did it.
We also have the elf on the shelf and although I don't think she fully understand how to work it, I have the elf out and the elf is leaving her little goodies in her stocking at random.

We tried to make cookies but he got frustrated that he couldn't eat the dough. I try to sing carols but he interrupts and starts singing something else, like wheels on the bus.
We read his Santa book then went to see him and he got weirded out. Now if I get that book out he grabs it and puts it away.
I hope next year is better.
Last weekend we went to the christmas show they have here at universal and he loved it.I am so happy to see him enjoying the season
O is really enjoying the season. I'm enjoying the season more this year seeing him have joy in all the little things.
He gets super excited when the tree turns on, it's on a timer. The lights on houses always get a "Wow" from him. Everywhere we go he loves spotting snowmen, reindeer and Santa. Everyday we go around the house to find our elf. Seamus, that's our elf, is always greeted with a cheer and clapping.
We saw Santa last weekend and while he was excited to see him he definitely didn't want to meet him. We're doing cookies this weekend and I think he's going to have a blast.

Stephy - That's so cute that she picks out your tree!
I definitely enjoy Christmas more now that DS is here. I've always loved this season, but it makes it so much better to have DS to enjoy it with.
I think he's into the season. He loves our Christmas tree. He helped put the tree topper and candy canes up. We have a few ornaments that he likes to play with, so we put them at the bottom of the tree. He always says "Christmas" when he sees a Christmas tree. He loves his new How the Grinch Stole Christmas book.
He, however, did NOT enjoy seeing Santa. After waiting in a ridiculously long line, he refused to sit with Santa, so DH and I had to jump in the picture with him.
grr I am late to this post & there's too many I want to reply to now, lol!
I love the cookie pics!
And whomever said they put a tree in DD's room - that is so adorable!
From last year, we had DS pointing out Santa as "Ho Ho" & he has a Christmas book that he had read frequently year-round, so he's got all the symbols of Christmas down pat. I don't think he gets the concept that Santa will be bringing him gifts yet, so I can't say he's actually excited about it. But, we are explaining it all to him. We are hopefully getting our tree tonight, so I think once it's up, we will all be more in the spirit!
Oh & we watched Frosty the Snowman together yesterday & he really liked it! At the end, he said, "Mommy, more Frosty?" hehe
