Surprise Christmas Gender Reveal!

My OB does not do an ultrasound at 16 weeks. (I will be 16 weeks on December 28th). They sugested a place that does elective ultrasound early gender scans for only $75! I booked an appointment for December 21st. I will be 15 weeks. I am planning on keeping this appointment a secret.. having them put it in a sealed envelope.. and giving it to my husband on Christmas morning as a surprise! I love surprising him Big Smile

    Cute! We are doing the same, cept DH and I are both going to the ultrasound, but not looking while they check between the legs haha they are putting either pink or blue baby socks in a package for us and we are having our DS open on Christmas morning ; can't wait.. 13 days!

    BFP 5/21/10, Missed m/c 7/5/10 at 11w3d (baby measured 7wks), D&C 7/7/10

    Aug/Sept 2010 - CD3&10 b/w & u/s, genetic testing, SA, HSG, & Lap/Hyst to remove septum

    12/09/10 BFP -- 7/05/11 DS born at 33w5d. Came home after 23d in NICU at 37w0d

    June 2012 - TTC #2! -- 10/05/12 BFP --  5/23/13 DS2 born at 37w1d! Yay full term!

    Surprise BFP 6/25/14 LO#3 due Feb2015!

    I am also having an elective ultrasound done on December 21st at 15 weeks! That's kind of crazy! I hope they can see enough to tell me what we are having so I can reveal at Christmas!! What kind of place are you getting yours done?

    That's the date of ours too. We'll know that date, but won't tell anyone else until Christmas.

    It is a place that only does ultrasounds - (no regular OB appointments). I googled 'elective ultrasounds' in my area and found them. Then I called my OB office and they suggested the same place!

    They said they should be able to tell at 15 weeks..if not, they will reschedule an appointment for me to come back after Jan 1st for no additional cost.

    That sounds wonderful to me!!! My DH hates surprises though and is fighting me on finding out before our Reveal at our Baby Shower (in MARCH)!! :((

    We are doing that too, except we are surprising our families.  I bought onies that say Grandma's little girl/Grandma's little boy and will wrap one for Christmas day.  We haven't told anyone else about the appointment.  They all think they will have to wait until the end of Jan. to find out. 

    Crossing my finger baby will cooperate! I'll be 15 weeks 6 days.

    My 3d ultrasound is dec 19th we are also having the tech put the gender in envelope and we are opening in Christmas Day!
