I just went back on BCP 2 months ago, and I feel it is causing my depression.
It is listed as one of the side effect, I'm on a generic of Yaz. However... since I started BCP right at the time that SAD usually kicks in, I can't quite figure out what the root cause is.
The first few weeks back on BCP were so horrible I was so tempted to just stop, but figured I should try 3 months at least, and see if some SAD light therapy and exercise would help. Things are a little bit better, but I'm still just not feeling like myself.
Also I'm questioning if simply all the stressors that have popped up in these past two months are causing my depression problems...

Good luck to you.
