Best Pregnancy Test

My husband and I have been TTC for several months now. I went off birth control in August and have had regular period since then. I use a calendar and my period shows up on the exact day it's due every month.

 We actively began trying in October, even more so in November.

 My period is now 2 days late which is highly unusual for me. I am trying my best not to get my hopes up. I am planning to wait until Saturday to test which would be 5 days late.

 What test do y'all recommend? 

 

This would be an extra special surprise for us since we both have birthdays this week and Christmas right around the corner.

    Anything with pink dye. Blue dye tests are the devil.

    I don't want to sound dumb but I've not bought nor used a pregnancy test.  Which brands use the pink dye?

    I haven't been temping but I use a fertility calendar and I always have a 28 day cycle. I chart when we have inter course and try to do it every other day especially before my anticipated ovulation day and afterwards for a few days.
    This is just highly unlike me and I feel like I am going to the bathroom way more than usual. I usually go twice at work and yesterday I went like 6 times and I've been 3 already today. Plus I'm somewhat exhausted at the end of the day...

    Without temping, you cannot know when you actually ovulated.  Those fertility calenders are garbage.  You can ovulate on day 19, and have a shorter luteal period, or on day 12 and have a longer one.  Those calendars assume everyone ovulates on day 14, but most people dont.  When I was charting, I o'd on average on day 16 for example with a 27 day cycle.

    I actually prefer the digital ones. I like that it says exactly if you are pregnant or not pregnant.

    I have no clue what the fuss is about on blue pregnancy tests.  They're the only ones I've used, and they've always been 100% reliable.  I like EPT.

    Just so you know, charting your fertility does work.  I got pregnant in two months doing it that way.  Never took my temp, not even once.  GL!

    first response is great.The EPT digital is nice too. I did first response and ept during my late time. I did clear blue the next day. it says I wasn't pregnant unlike the others. Well, look at the ticker.Stick out tongue
