We got a gift for DD's BM, but I want to get something for her mom as well. She and BM are very close, and they always come together when we visit. And she always sends us a gift along with one for DD at Christmas.
I feel like I'm overthinking all the variables that I'm adding to this gift idea. BGM is very attached to DD, so something from her might be nice. But I don't know how much the extended family knows about DD, if anything, so I don't want it to be something that would make family interactions awkward. We don't have many pictures of them together, so that's probably out.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
Re: BGM Christmas ideas?
I love this idea! I was just thinking "What could she draw for her that wouldn't scream little kid drawing?" A painted coffee mug would be perfect!
My only other go to sentimental gift is a necklace of some sort.
I was thinking maybe something like the little art projects that use their hand print/foot print and then you decorate it as a tree or something.
But I like the coffee mug idea much better than my own! Haha.

Luckily, her APs also send me things like that - and I cherish them so much more than non-homemade things. I love that they send me pictures she's drawn, etc. so that I can be proud of her, as well. I adore the fact that they throw one in the mail for my parents every once in awhile - and not just send it all to me.
