Hi!

I just wanted to give a quick intro before I dive into the board here. I was on the TTGP for awhile but haven't been on in a few months because it was just too hard. We are currently in the process of adopting a little girl from the Philippines. She is 2 years old and Deaf. We just finished our homestudy and are trying to raise the money to get the dossier sent off. We are really excited to be finished with the endless paperwork for that and now on the endless paperwork for the grant applications! So excited to be getting this little girl  . . I just can't wait to see her.

I'm glad to be on here again and connect with other people going through the same things as we are and/or have already gone through them.

    After 2 years of IF workups/treatments and 2 IUIs, we have closed the door on fertility treatments.
    We are very excited to be pursuing international adoption from China!

    Thank you for the warm welcome! I am currently an ASL interpreter and my husband has been learning since we got married 2 years ago. Now he is learning a lot more quickly =). We are also military and are stationed in an area without a large Deaf community. There are some but not like other places. We will be moving summer of 2014 so hopefully we will get stationed in an area with more resources and a bigger Deaf community for Gabby.

    Congratulations and welcome!!  How exciting!

    friends of ours just returned from a visit to the Philippines with a Holt team - they got to hang out with 10-15 yr olds for a week so they could come back to the states and help tell their stories and advocate for families for them.
