Bummed about my snoring

So, my snoring has reached impressive levels lately. I think it's the baby weight, plus the congestion from increased blood flow. Either way, I'm frustrated because I wake myself up every 30 min-1 hour with my OWN snoring. Yeah. You can imagine what my husband is experiencing. It means we don't sleep in the same room right now and I feel so disconnected :/

I know it's a minor issue, but it makes me feel a little embarrassed and bummed out.  Anyone else having this issue?

  • You are not alone. My DH is at his limit with my snoring. I have found him on the couch many times over the last few weeks. I feel horrible about it, and he is just cranky due to a lack of sleep.

  • I'm the exact opposite my FI snored so loud that he's always on the couch unless I go to bed first.

  • Snoring & Bed hogging have left my poor hubby in another room! I seem to ALWAYS flop over to my back and snore like nobody's business!! Poor him...luckily he is a sweetheart about it and when I apologize he just says he's glad I'm sleeping well! (I think he should get a gold star for that lol) What I have been trying to do is wedge a pillow behind me to make sure I stay on my side which seems to limit both my bed hogging AND my wicked snoring!

    Good luck!!

This happened to me for the first time ever last night! I'm normally NOT a snorer in any way, but last night I felt like I was constantly half-asleep and half-awake listening to my own snoring. What is going on?! Ack.

  • Thanks for the good laugh. Now I know I'm not alone. I've been so congested I bought myself a humidifier and it has helped a ton. I haven't woken up to a blocked nose since using it and I've asked my DH about my snoring and he hasn't mentioned it lately. Some nights he said he was going to record me it was so loud. I gave him the stink eye. How embarrassing.

  • I don't snore, but I breathe SO LOUDLY. My SO will wake me up, sometimes multiple times a night, to get me to knock it off. It's frustrating. Sometimes I'll go back to sleep and be fine, but sometimes I'll start right back up as soon as I fall back asleep.

  • I've been snoring as well. When I wake up my throat feels like it's on fire. It wakes DH up sometime's, however there are plenty more times where he has woken me up from him snoring that he doesn't complain. He figures it's payback.
