I am hoping someone on here is a bt of a Beatles freak. Dad says he wants a Beatles CD for Christmas but I don't know which to buy him. We already bought them a big combined gift so this will just be the icing on the cake, so unfourtunately no big box sets. Any recommendations?

Re: NBR: Beatle CD for Dad
I'm not a Beatles freak by any means, but I thought I'd give my two cents anyway. Does your dad some Beatles CDs already? If not, how about a greatest hits album?

No he doesn't have any CDs. He still has a few vintage LPs, but nothing to play them on lol.
I looked at that one, but it is out of stock
The White Album. Classic, wonderful Beatles. Good starter album if you don't have a collection already.
If he is more of an "oldies" fan (likes Buddy Holly type music, the 50's sound): Go for Hard Day's Night.
Another great classic Beatles album is Abbey Road. It's just good.
If he has eclectic musical taste and is looking for wackier Beatles instead of "classic" Beatles, you could go Magical Mystery Tour or Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

Beatles Anthology!! You can get the CDs only on Amazon (instead of buying the full box set). They're really cool because they have a lot of outtakes, original cuts, live versions, and "voice" tracks. There's 3 all together, and they each have 2 discs. Or you can get tons of books!
If you want to get him a book, I recommend Here, There and Everywhere, the 100 Best Beatles Songs. It gives descriptions of each song, like meanings behind the lyrics, what was going on in their lives, who the songs are about, etc. I love it!
I vote Abbey Road or St. Peppers. But the Anthology is great as well if you want to make sure all his favorites are included.
Last year, I got the entire catalogue on iTunes for Christmas. Great gift!
