I was up from 3-8 with what were either painful Braxton-Hicks or very early labor (they felt like the normal Braxton-Hicks tightening with the addition of sharp pains in my lower back that felt like gas/PMS cramps). At about 8, when it was time for me to either go to work or call and tell them I was in labor they went away, so now I'm at work. I know she will come when she's ready, but I do wish she would move it along (I really don't want to be induced on the 17th), and I get annoyed when people who are still at 36-38 weeks whine about wanting this all to be over.
ETA: I apologize for the rant. I just needed to get it out of my system. I realize we are all reaching this point...
Re: FRUSTRATED
I know you're further along, but I feel you on the pre-labor annoyance... I've had two nights where I thought I'd be heading to the hospital -- prettty good contractions getting stronger and closer together for a few hours, but never reaching the 5-1-1 point, and then trailing off. False alarms are mentally exhausting, whether you're 36 weeks or 42 weeks.
With DS, I had a few BH one night and my water broke the next morning... MUCH less stressful that way!
Good luck!
girl!!! i feel ya! it's all very trying of ones patience! 2 days overdue and i have a checkup in a couple hours. we shall see! i just had to run to the bathroom to projectile vommit...(that was not expected, painful, and disgusting) i'm hoping now that it's some sign of labor.
this is my second time around and with my dd everything was much more clear... water broke, contractions started, baby came. this time i feel confused with all the false labor that i've experienced.
