Into the Wild. this quote reminds me of when i see a movie, i need someone to turn to in order to laugh with.

    Yay! Today I took my presents over to the foster care office for a girl named Saphire. She got a bath and body works gifts set (in sweetpea, I thought that was fitting), aeropastel lounge pants, and the Monsters High five doll set (ugly azz things but they were on her list). She's 11 and it will probably be the last Christmas that a toy can really bring her joy so I'm really glad I was assigned her.

    And Becca, your post about what your family is doing for Christmas inspired me to find this way to give this Holiday. Every year I mean to and every year i get too busy and forget until it's too late.

    Thank you for being such a lovely person that you inspire all of us to do more good in our world.

    This year we decided to play Santa to four little area kids whose parent(s) cannot afford a Christmas... A karaoke machine, a nerf gun, snow boots, and a crayola digital dome toy... Felt so good to shop for these little ones.  I was on amazon all night finishing up my list...

    We also usually drop off a pile of new toys to the local police station for toys for tots. I can't wait to teach Rylee about the importance of giving to those less fortunate.

    Finally! Bo had me going all. Day. Long! Now that he is sleeping sweetly in his cozy corner I want to tell you all how absolutely fun this is to talk about making others happy! I have been the recipient of so many random acts of kindness through the years,which sadly, those people will never know how amazing I think they are! I know we all are making a difference! What wonderful people you all are!

    Today Bo and I chose to pay for the person behind us at Costco! It was small!! I was eying the people behind me and kept telling people to go ahead! So maybe a little selfish! BUT! I slipped the cashier the money and told him to keep the change soooo BOOM! I helped two people! Bo and I ran out so fast and thank god there was not a line when checking receipts!

    Nothing big here either but I inter officed my tech support person a hand written note telling her she does a great job and I'm happy to have her and put in some chocolate and hard candies.

    I just wanted her to know I do appreciate all of her efforts.
