OK I'm confused...When I was pregnant, I was told to get the cool mist humidifier bc there was less bacterial growth. Now, a year later, everything i read says a warm mist was the way to go. What's the deal? Let me know  what you have.

    The cool mist ones can have mold growth in the filters. The warm mist ones don't have any filters bc the water gets boiled, so you just have to clean off the scale from water that builds up eventualy. I have a warm mist one that I've had for years and it's still going strong, and we just bought a Vicks brand warm mist one, too. hth and happy birthday to the little one - so exciting!
