I am worried because I didn't get my period yet and my son is already 9 months old. I am still breastfeeding but not as much as before ...Is this normal? Any thoughts?
I started supplementing with formula when DS was 4 months old and stopped pumping when he was about 7 months. Took a couple of months after stopping that for my period to return. I wouldn't worry totally normal especially since you're still BFing.
You could take a HPT but PP AF is one of those things that fit into the "Be careful what you wish for!"... It's not unusual for some woment to go even as long as 18mo before their first AF the longest I've ever heard is 36...
I wouldn't worry. I pumped until DD was almost 7 months old (we have always had to supplement with formula due to a variety of issues) and as soon as I stopped pumping completely I felt like things might be returning to normal... and sure enough a month after I stopped pumping completely I got my period. I never produced enough to EBF (or even close to EBF), but my body needed to completely stop producing milk to get going again.
Ummm. I got pg while ebfing (no formula, no pumping, no bottles) on the mini pill and never had AF!
I wasn't on antibiotics or anything to compromise the mini pill from working but DD started to eat solids and I was bfing less than 6 times a day and it jump started my system.

With my son, I was ebf and I didn't get my period until he was 14 months old, which was when I weaned him. This time, I'm also ebfing, and I just got it a couple of days ago. My daughter is 9.5 months. About 2 weeks ago, I had such bad cramps that made me worry there was something wrong with me. Then my daughter who never bites was biting my nipples in frustration. Now that I look back, I guess I was ovulating. My milk production came back, but I hope I can keep breastfeeding at least until she is 1. She hates formulas, so it will be a problem if I can't produce enough...

Proud mother of two breech babies:)
It took me like 2 months after completely stopping pumping to get AF back, even though the last month or so was cut way back.
Don't worry, it's probably NBD. If you are worried, go ahead a take a HPT.
