"Christmas morning" while traveling

I'm not sure how many of you travel for the holidays, but if you will be out of town (out of your own home) on Christmas morning, when do you plan on doing the Christmas morning Santa thing? 

We will be going to my parents' house on the afternoon of 12/22. I'm not sure if I want to do Santa with Miles that morning before we leave, or save it for their house. If I save it for their house, he will be leaving shortly after to go with his dad to that side of the family's Christmas. I'm just torn on how to get things started up.

Miles has been REALLY into Santa this year, and I want to do it right.

    We will be home, but in your situation I would probably bring them to your parents' house and do it there. I know he's still young, but part of the tradition of Santa is that he delivers all his gifts in one night. My patents divorced when I was 9, and Santa went to both mom's and dad's houses. It was really awesome to get 2 Christmas 'mornings.'

    We will be doing Santa gifts on the morning of the 24th (so Santa will come the night of the 23rd). We get together with DH extended family the evening of the 24th and Santa comes to great grandmas house while we are there. I want Santa to visit us first. All of DHs siblings do the same thing.

    Unfortunately, I have a small car and some larger items... I think we are going to have to do "Christmas morning" on 12/22. He won't know the difference this year, and hopefully we won't have to do it much in future years. 

    Being away from family stinks. :(

    Sharing custody sucks. :(
