Good afternoon ladies!
This is a weekly check-in for any and all ladies who have had a
loss with an EDD in January, of any year. We are so sorry for your loss
and welcome you to the group with open arms. I truly hope you feel safe
and find comfort here with us. Please tell us about yourself, give us
your full screen name, where you are in your TTCAL journey and your EDD
so we can add you to our list.
Please let me know if we have missed any BFPs (with EDDs) or returning ladies so I can add them to our list. Give us an update on your life, your cycle, or how you're feeling overall about everything.
QOTD: Do you have a favorite Holiday song or movie? If so, what?

Re: ~*~*January Snowflakes Check In*~*~
**pg mention**
I guess I will go first! Last night we had our family Christmas party with extended family. As fun as it was at first, it was really hard seeing my pregnant cousin, who is due in January. She was complaining a bit and it really bothered me. I know that her home life situation isn't ideal and that she's going through a hard time, so it really put me in check to be more sympathetic. It still hurt, though.
Other than that, I've been reflecting a lot about how I want to raise my future children and how I can start preparing myself now to becoming a parent. I want to be the best I can for them.
As far as movies and music, O Holy Night is my favorite Christmas song. Elf is my favorite movie, by far!
I have been thinking a lot about this lately too. I am planning to write out some goals and keep track of my progress. I want to do whatever I can to be a better parent and to have my house ready for a future LO. I think this will be a good way to focus my energy on something other than just waiting for a BFP.
HUGS for dealing with your cousin.
Yep, I'm waiting to O, which should be this weekend.
I love Christmas music, but don't have a favorite song. My favorite holiday movie is the Grinch.
TTC Since 8/2011
BFP #1 5/13/12 * EDD 1/24/13 * MC at 7 wks 4 days on 6/11/12
BFP #2 5/13/13 * Current EDD 1/23/14
Baby N born 2/8/14
Cami, my fave Christmas song is O Holy Night too! Sorry about your cousin; I have some facebook friends that post too much about their pg and little annoyances, and I keep reminding them how blessed they are.
So lots has occurred since last check in, but I dont want to go too long, so short short version: blood work basically came back normal, had saline ultrasound which confirmed a septated uterus, not a bicornuate like I was originally told. The septate is quite large--almost splits my ute in 2--and i have surgery scheduled 1/11 to have it removed. Have been assured its a simple procedure, but Im still pretty scared as Ive never had any kind of surgery before.
Well you already know my fave song. Fave movie, kinda afraid to say it, but Bad Santa. I have some pretty sick humor, lol.
5/25: BFP EDD: 1/25/13, 6/12: No HB detected, 6/22: MC via Cytotec. Informed of possible bicornuate uterus.
10/2: BFP EDD: 6/1/13, 10/20: Natural MC
12/10: ultrasound w/saline confirms septate uterus (almost complete septate). Surgery to correct scheduled 1/11/13; surgery postponed while trying to determine next course of action given results of karyotyping
Diagnosed with balanced reciprocal translocation genetic issue
Surgery rescheduled for 3/13/13.
stlucia: I know how you feel when it comes to friends having or nearing your EDD. I'm in the same boat as you are and as happy as I am for them, I know how much it stings. I'm so sorry that you have to deal with that
As far as Christmas music, I'm usually the same way considering I've worked retail for years. I can tolerate a few songs on a good day
akasha: It's such a good song! Gives me chills every time. I have so many pg friends right now and some with newborns and as happy as I am for them, it still stings. You know? They are most certainly blessed, though! I am so sorry you had to go through more tests and appointments, but I am glad they found out what the problem was! Hopefully you'll have a speedy recovery! Surgery can be very scary but they are very talented or else they wouldn't have medical licenses to do so, so keep that in mind haha. You'll be fine! Keep us updated, ok?
