Today at my appointment the doctor said we would discuss scheduling an induction at my next visit because of IUGR and fluid level concerns (this Thursday). When you schedule an induction do you have any say in the date or time? Just curious what to expect...
Re: Scheduled Inductions?
Well they can't force you into anything! But if it's for the health of the baby they probably will encourage you to do it as soon as possible.
In my experience they have been flexible, it will depend on the day you want being available of course. As far as time, they usually do it first thing in the morning, though I've heard of people going in at night. When I've scheduled mine, I've always been told to call an hour before my scheduled appointment time anyway to verify that I should still come in (that the maternity ward hadn't suddenly been slammed or something).

I am scheduled to go in Thursday evening because of chronic hypertension. The doctor first off wanted me to go in early on Wednesday morning but with it being 12-12-12, the hospital was completely booked. So he wanted me to go in on thursday night because on Friday he would be at the office near the the hospital.
It seems like the Doctor tries to make sure it is a time when they are on call or close by, but there may be some flexibility with some doctors. Basically I went with what my doctor said and was okay with that.
