Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Jumperoo :(

She's 8 months and just recently not into the jumperoo anymore. She's not crawling and she's just sitting and rolling most of the time..so nothing really new she's doing. Just curious when your LOs got disinterested.

Re: Jumperoo :(

  • Ds got bored with it around 6 months. After that, we encouraged independent play on the floor, with lots of toys.

  • DD is only just now interested. Before she would just sit in it and hang there kind of twirling slowly. Now she goes nuts for it. Sometimes she gets going and if we say "WEEEEEEE" she gets all excited and bounces higher. I'm glad she enjoys it because so far she hates being on the floor longer than 5 mins :(

  • DS's new thing is to pull himself up on the side of the jumperoo and play with it while standing. He doesn't really like sitting in it for long anymore.

Mine has gotten really into it in the last month as well. Before she would just pull her legs up and dangle from it. Now she goes crazy in it. She'll get tired of it and start whining so I'll go to pick her up and she's gets so excited that I'm coming to get her that she starts bouncing all crazy in it. I love it so much.

  • Mine has just discovered a new found interest in it due to the fact I know put skidders on her feet. Before her feet would just slide everywhere on our hardwood. Mine has just started to roll over recently, it's sporadic. So I'm glad your little one is a late crawler too. They'll be mobile when they get bored and confident.
  • DD has been "over it" for the past week or so. It is a bummer because we used it to be able to enjoy our own meals. Not anymore!  She is cruising like crazy and would rather not be confined.
