Diaper gel

Has anyone ever had to clean up the gel from a pampers diaper that breaks open? My 2 year old's diaper bust open today and the gel is all over my brand new carpet. The diaper wasn't even that full. I think it was defective because it looks like it came apart at a seam. Any good ways to clean it up? I am doing the best I can, but still finding beads of gel.

    Our dog has broken open Audra's wet diapers many times and the vacuum always worked on the carpet for us.
