BFN at 14 dpo.

According to my woman log calendar, I am 14 dpo. I bought a BBT thermometer and planned on starting to chart today (the day AF was due) but AF never came! I took a test with an IC and it was a BFN!

Does this mean I'm out for this month or is there still hope? I've also had a sharp pain in my left lower abdomen. I felt it twice today and it lasted for less than a minute!

Those calendars are pretty much worthless because they have no idea what is actually going on with your body.

You're not out until you get your period.

Technically you're not out. I would wait a week and if AF hasn't shown up yet, test again.

The calendar method really is a worthless method of detecting how far past ovulation you are. You can ovulate earlier/later than "average" one month, that system doesn't tell you how long your typical luteal phase is, etc etc. If you were charting so you know precisely when ovulation occured, I'd say there's a good chance you're out for this month (though certainly not impossile--I didnt get a positive result until 15dpo). On just a guess off a calendar, you're definitely not out until AF shows.

Pain on one side can occur with ovulation. I would keep having sex every other day until you get AF/a bfp. If you go 60 days with no period call your doctor.

If you haven't yet, check out FertilityFriend.com. They have an app and it'll be more accurate than those other apps because FF looks for trends as opposed to just going by the "28 day" cycle idea.
