My son just recently turned 6 months so we now have the option of ibprofen in addition to tylenol.
Which do you use most? How do you decide which to use for what? What's your go-to for fever? For teething?
I can't seem to find any good information on why you would use one or the other or if one is better for certain things.
Re: do you use/prefer tylenol or ibuprofen?
I've always been an ibuprofen person. I also have had friends that prefer ib for their infants just because it seems to work better...was just curious what the majority of mommas thought. Thanks!
ibuprofen. Personally I think Tylenol barely takes the edge off if I take it myself. I have noticed that ibuprofen seems to last longer for my son and since it is an anti-inflamatory seems to be more effective for teething.
my pharmacist actually recommends both in rotation. tylenol is for pain and fever ibuprofen is more for swelling and inflammation.
Ibuprofen.
