XP: BF'ing Mama's re: Pacifiers

I finally found one that DD will keep in her mouth for more than a split second.  Avent!  I had tried Soothie and Nuk prior to Avent and she would take the Soothie at times, but never kept it in long enough and the Nuk she never took.  Just thought I would share b/c I remember other Nesties looking for a pacifier that "worked."

I accidentally posted this on Parenting, whooops!

  • Lucky you!  I have tried them all I think.  Soothie (we have the best luck w/ this), Avent, Nuk, Playtex.  I am beginning to think she isn't a paci baby.

  • The Avent is the only one that worked for us too... after countless $ spent on others. Here I was standing in BRU trying to find a nipple that resembled mine and ultimately the one that worked was the one that I think looks least like it. Who knew?
  • DS will only take the gumdrop pacifiers.  The rest he spits right out, but he seems to like that one.

  • Both of my girls have taken Mams great. I like that the nipple is straight and the plastic part kind of forms to their mouth - it's not just straight like a Soothie is.

My first DD also took her Gumdrop that she got from the hospital.
