Not something I would buy, but I think itsnbsp;ridiculous that anyone is getting their knickers in a twist about this.nbsp; Anyone who thinks that a breastfeeding dolls is sexuallizing children deserves to be throat punched.nbsp; Bill O'Reilly needs to stop talking period.
All of this.
In a way I like it because every other baby doll on the market comes with bottles. I'd like my kids to know that breast feeding is a perfectly normal way for babies to eat, too.
I probably wouldn't buy it because I think DD could just pretend to breast feed any doll without special accessories.
I am just sick of hearing anyone suggest that being exposed to breast feeding is inappropriate for children or anyone else. It is how nature intended they eat, people!!

I don't know if its still sold, but about 10 years ago there was a Barbie that was pregnant and the belly could be removed. Inside the belly was a baby in the fetal position. A few second graders in my class at the time would bring them in to play at recess. I found them to be inappropriate. I think parents should be teaching their kids about the human body and reproduction, not Mattel or Fisher Price. I don't care for the dolls that pee and poop either.
I have never heard of this, but there is probably a reason why. I think they forget that children have an imagination sometimes. Children will make their dolls breastfeed, seem pregnant, and do all kinds of things without adding it to the toy itself (and without putting a $100 pricetag on it).

Honestly, I think it's weird and something I wouldn't ever buy. It's not just because it's a doll that you can BF, but the whole idea of a little girl wearing this special "bra" just creeps me out.
If a girl wants to pretend to BF her doll, she can certainly do so without this weird and expensive doll.

When I was a kid, the neighbor girl had one....I wanted to have that Barbie so bad!

Late to the party but had to share! My 2 year old little sister has one (long story- I am 31) and it bothered me at first but now totally NBD. She plays with it like any other doll and sometimes she tries to nurse it while other times she tries to shove a bottle into its mouth.

How old are you?
I will be 29 in Feb. I looked, it wasn't an actual "Barbie" that she had but something like it. It was the Mommy-to-Be Doll that was made in the early '90s (pic included). But there was also a pregnant Midge in the '80s that was part of the Heart Family collection. In the early 2000's, a version of the Heart Family (now called the Happy Family) released a new pregnant Midge that was sold and Walmart had pulled them from the shelves because it wasn't sold with the baby's dad, causing people to claim it would teach teen pregnancy (ummm....okay.) At the time, Midge and the baby were sold separately from the dad (Alan) and their little boy (Ryan). So after pulling from the shelves, they revamped both boxes...the pregnant Midge box now including a cardboard cutout of Alan and Ryan, and the box containing Alan and Ryan, now including a cardboard cut out of Midge and the baby.
