#1 was a boy and I have a few neutral things as we didn't know the sex. This time, i know the baby is a girl. I have bought a few things, including some newborn sleep and play...is there any chance she migiht not fit in them if she was a big baby? Just wondering before I wash them....I can always try the newborn stuff from my son on her first.
Re: Do All babies wear newborn?
No they don't all, but I suspect if your DS was in newborn sizes for a little while, your DD may roughly be the same size as him (well, at least not gigantically bigger).
I would buy more 0-3 mo girl clothes, and plan on using the gender neutral newborn stuff. You could always pick up a handful more girly NB clothes after you take DD home if you need it.
Yes, my first didn't fit in newborn clothes (10lbs at birth and long though he did drop to 8.5lbs in the hospital). On the other hand, my second child wore newborn until 3 months.
It will really depend on how your LO carries their weight/height/etc and subsequent babies are sometimes larger than your first child though it wasnt the case for me. If your first was 6lbs at term and average height/short the chances you'll have an 8.5+lb and/or long baby at birth is low. If your LO was on the larger side of "average" I'd stick to 0-3 personally.
