Sibling intuition? (CP)

Obviously an older sibling has a 50/50 shot of guessing the sex of the baby correctly, but if you have other children and asked them if you were having a boy or girl, were they correct?  I've heard of "mother's intuition", so I'm curious if there might also be a sibling intuition.[Poll]

  • We haven't found out yet but DD insists this is a baby sister. I guess I won't know for a couple more weeks.

  • Charlie didn't "guess," but he's been after us for a baby sister for quite a while now, so maybe he just wished it into reality ;)

  • I hope my son's intuition isn't right - then I'd be having a truck. LOL. All he calls the baby is "baby". He shows baby his toys and gives it a hug and kiss and says bye.

  • If we ask DS if the baby is a boy or girl, he says boy, but if we ask if the baby will be a little brother or little sister, he generally says little sister, although lately he has been saying baby brother (although we did get the answer of "boy sister" once). We find out on Thursday...can't wait!

  • We have said "Baby Brother or Sister" since day one, but our 2 year old insists it's a baby sister. He wants to name the baby Baby Sister :) We find out Christmas Day if he is right or not.

  • If you ask DD "Is it a boy/baby brother or a girl/baby sister" She replies 'girl/baby sister' but if you ask "Is it a girl/baby sister or a boy/baby brother'' she replies 'boy/baby brother', so she really just says the last think you say.  She loves on my belly and kisses it a lot now, and also points at my belly and says 'baby'

  • I voted SS because my niece has been convinced all along that we're having a boy (which was confirmed last week). She was also correct last year when my brother and SIL had a baby girl. Then again, she does have a 50/50 chance whenever she guesses lol.

  • My niece insisted with her brother that it was a boy throughout my sister's whole pregnancy... to the point that Miss P told the nurse doing the A/S that she was having a brother.  The nurse confirmed that a few minutes later.

When my sister told her that I was having a baby, she informed me that I was going to have two girl babies...  I had to tell her a few weeks later that there's only one and she said "Where did the other one go?!" like it was a toy I'd dropped along the way somewhere, but she still tells me it's a girl.  I should find out next Monday.
