December 2012 Moms

for those moms with outside babies .. PP ?

i just delivered my daughter this past tuesday. delivery was fast 3 1/2hrs start to finish!!! and luckily i didnt tear. i am of course tender and sore from delivery but today i noticed a few bumps on the side of my vagina. they are tender and quite frankly i have no clue what it is or how to treat it. i never had hemmroids so im not sure if its even possible to get them there. any advice would be appreciated. thank you

  • Congrats on the baby girl. I dont know that you can get hemmroids there is that possible? I would google it but thats me and then i wouldnt be able to sleep all night so i dont think thats a good idea.  lol Maybe ask your dr and make a quick appt and checked out? Im not much help but i hope you get it figured out. Does it hurt?

  • Your nether regions are going to be jacked for at least 6 weeks even with no tearing (i didn't have any tearing with my first either).

Meaning, swollen, weird looking, etc.  I don't think I even looked down there until well after my 6 weeks check up.

If it's not super painful (more that sore/throbbing which is pretty normal) I would just chalk it up to being a battle wound for now and stop looking down there for awhile! lol

  • Still have my LO baking but I remember one of the October or November moms a while back went in for he follow up appointment due to something similar. Turns out you can get hemorrhoids on your lady parts. I think this occurs from the pressure and pushing during L&D. If it's bothering you a lot I would call your OB and they may be able to recommend something other than the usual witch hazel tucks pads.

  • Wish I could help, but I ended up having 2nd degree tears. All I know is it's just going to be awhile before everything is feeling/looking normal again.
