Baby Food Grinder (portable)

I've started looking at baby food grinders. I have a magic bullet and a little electronic baby food maker I can use at home, I'm looking for something to take with me when we're at restaurants or traveling. I want to be able to grind both veggies/fruit and meat.

I was going to buy the KidCo BabySteps Deluxe Food Mill with Travel Tote, but it has mixed reviews.

I also came across the Kidalog Baby Food Mill Grinder, it looks pretty good, but I've never heard of the company before.

Any recommendations for either what to get or avoid?  Thanks!

Re: Baby Food Grinder (portable)

  • IMO a portable grinder would be unnecessary. Couldn't you just take along a pre-made batch of food from home? Or bring some kind of food that can be easily mashed with a fork on site, like a banana or avocado? Also, we sometimes just bring some of the store-bought ground oatmeal, the only thing you have to do is add water when you're ready to feed LO.

  • I've heard of people using a garlic press.

    All of this.
