baby oatmeal

Does any body else's baby seem to get a belly ache from it? We are doing BLW and DD eats pretty much what we eat, so she doesn't eat it often...but tonight we were in a rush so we had hot dogs, which she obviously couldn't have...so I mixed up some oatmeal thickly to give her to eat w. her hands, so that she would get some iron. Now she seems to be in pain and has a couple of red spots on her tummy.

We did this sometimes when she was learning how to put food in her mouth for the same reason...and a couple of times she broke out in hives and seemed to have a belly ache then too... seems like an odd thing to be allergic to, doesn't it? This happen to anyone else's LO?

    I put grown up oatmeal in the food processer and use that instead maybe try that.

    DD did not like baby oatmeal at all - it made her tummy upset and we had some eczema breakouts around the time we introduced it, I'm not entirely sure they're related though. Now we also do grown-up oatmeal, and I just mix it up with water and she loves it, and we haven't had any tummy or breakout issues.
