The original gift my inlaws were going to get DD fell through. They are very generous so I'd like to think of a big gift for them to get her so we're not stuck with a ton of toys. I'm thinking of maybe a playhouse as a combined gift for DD and DS. We already have a basic, cheap plastic one, I was thinking of something nicer she'd get more use of, till like 8 or 9, but most of the ones I'm looking at are geared towards 3-5. Anyone have any recommendations for a nicer outside playhouse? The budget would be about $600

Re: rec your outdoor playhouse
My parents have this one https://kidkraft.com/toys-and-playsets/outdoor/playhouses/00178 at their house for the grandkids. It's nice and I can see the kids playing with it till they are about 6-7, but I'm not sure the house would be tall enough for an 8-9 year old.
This is WAY over budget, but maybe try searching for something more along the lines of this cottage https://www.walmart.com/ip/Little-Cottage-11-x-8-Pennfield-Cottage-Wood-Playhouse/17379058 that would last longer for older kids.
