How much formula does your LO get a day, and how much solids at this point? My LO wont eat much more than 3.5 oz of solids a day, one time a day, and does about 24oz of formula. Should she be eating more solids by now? I know each baby is different, but I feel like maybe she should be eating more? She just in the last week started crawling a bit (yay!!!) and only has her 2 bottom teeth, so I dont know if that makes a difference? Any advice would help, thanks!!
Re: 8 month old not a fan of solids...
Daniel drinks between 24-30oz of formula a day and also gets some in rice cereal. Sometimes giving him something to play with while eating gets him distracted enough to eat from a spoon. Other times, giving him some cheerios will help too. You could also give him some small soft bits of food for him to work on picking up and feeding himself.
Right now, food is just for practice. The formula is the most important element of his diet.
My son is chowing down at 7 1/2 mo (but he's been eating since 4mo)
2 jars (4oz ea) 4 times a day...just added the 4th meal. 8a, 12p, 5pm, 7pm
plus BFing every few hours (4-6oz).
PLUS snacks of mum mum teething crackers, puffs, mashed fruit, scrambled eggs....
He got his bottom teeth at 5 1/2 mo and getting his top teeth in now; avg weight, and tall for his age as far as stats go...
I think all babies are different, though- but I heard boys eat more. If this is any indication, I'm going to be buying alot of groceries for the next 20 years lol
