Has anyone had one? What were your thoughts? I have the vista but want something more portable for travel, amusement parks etc. I love the idea of the strap, recline and extended UV shade.
Our neighbors have one for travel and they love it. She did tell me that it doesn't ride as smoothly as the Vista but it's so much smaller and lighter you can't really expect that it would.

We were in the same boatneeded a lighter stroller thn our vista for travel, etc. I thought i'd get the gluxe, but tried it and didn't love it. The sun shade is awesome. I didn't like the strings you use to recline and didn't like the two handed fold. I got the maclaren quest instead and am really happy!
We have a Vista and decided to get a G-lite. Since DS was 2 when we got it we figured he would really not need the recline feature. We LOVE the G-lite! Its so light and easy to use.
Don't have the g-luxe but I LOVE LOVE LOVE my g-lite. I have 5 different strollers and I use my g-lite the most.

It isn't as easy to fold and unfold as I would have expected but I'm happy enough with it. Less expensive than the mcclaren, lighter too. And I love that it reclines... So does DD.
I LOVE my g-luxe. It's actually an excellent travel stroller. Very easy to set up, lightweight, & reclines. DS has slept in it a lot. We actually used it in on our flights to & from Florida earlier this year & we were very impressed (it even packs into universal baggage check bags, so no need for a pricy bag). The UV shade is nice during the summer. My only complaint is there is no way you can put a diaper bag in the basket-but that seemed to be the problem with all umbrellas I looked at.

We own the G-luxe as well as the Vista. It's good (though not in the snow!); we basically keep it in the car so if we are running into a mall or store we have a small stroller handy. I like that: It is very light weight, has a cupholder, reclines, good sunshade and folds up fairly small in the back of our SUV (leaves rooms for the groceries still).
My one complaint is that the rim of the sunshade/cover keeps getting bent of out shape on folding and is now a little warped.
ETA: I agree with the previous poster that the "reclining" feature really hasn't been necessary as DD never naps in her stroller anymore.
I have a vista and bought the gluxe for vacation use. We just went on a overseas trip and then a week later to Mexico, so it's been in a couple of rough trips!
We bought the Ani color.. Love the orange seat, but the canopy is a light color and it's so dirty now. The rim of the canopy is black from closing the stroller and the wheels touching it. The canopy is not removable so I will have to find a way to clean it. The cup holder broke off sometime during the flight.. I think someone just wasn't being careful when storing it on the plane. The cup holder is replaceable to that's ok..
It's a great stroller for travel, easy to push, easy open/close, DD seems comfy in it and the best part is that it stands on its own. And it's very lightweight so DH could carry the stroller DD up any stairs we encountered very easily.
I can see myself using this more As DD doesn't need her vista and transitions to a smaller stroller.
