That's pretty sad. However, instances of this will slowly go away since rooming in is becoming the standard and they are getting rid of nurseries besides special care nurseries.
So glad hospitals are phasing out the giant nursery concept & going with in-room care. My favorite thing about the hospital here is that they do everything, testing, bathing, etc. in the room with you and discourage taking the baby away unless absolutely medically necessary.
Our hospital uses this technology where a mom' bracelet, when paired when her baby's, plays a song. They always have to match the bracelets and hear the music before they let you do anything with the baby. Wonder if this is new?
