The post below had a lot of replies with people bashing the thumb, but I guess I just don't see the big deal. I would think kindergarteners sucking their thumb are the exception and not the norm. I don't know; my DS never took a paci or sucked his thumb. And I definitely didn't do anything to encourage DD taking the thumb, but I don't really mind. She's still so little and it immediately calms her down when she starts screaming in the car (which is every trip) or when I try to change her diaper (which she hates). And naptimes are sooo smooth now.
Anyone else with a thumbsucker or who just doesn't see it to be a huge issue?
Re: Anyone else with a thumbsucker?
I LOVE that my DD is a thumbsucker. And it is so darn cute when she tries to pop her wet, little thumb into my mouth.
Makes me smile every time.
I totally agree with you.?
DD has sucked her thumb for a while now. I don't have a problem with it. We'll deal with it if/when we think she is too old.
